I love this place and will definitely be back to try some more yummy food. We got lucky with the wait. We were sitting quickly. They also have outside sitting. I think the later you go the busier it gets. The service was excellent and the food was great! Can't get enough.

Wow! What an awesome breakfast! We had party of 9. Did not have to wait long...which did not happen at other places (90 minute wait was the norm)! Every plate of food was "kickin" according to my granddaughters. We had Machaca, Huevos Racheros, Crepes, Pancakes, Bacon and eggs, etc.. Not one complaint! Great service, Great Food, and Great atmosphere! Definitely going back in our next visit to coast!

cappys pleased me twice! two days in a Row! with the cinnamon swirl buns and the strawberry and banana crepe breakfast! and their coffee is strong! perfect for a morning after a long night! the service was amazing! very intensive and checked on the table more than regularly! it's hard to complain about anything!

The food, coffee and service were A+. The cafe is located off Coast Hwy and is a skips throw to the beach. In other words, a great location. And, seating is offered both indoors and outdoors. Give my t a try, my guess is you will not be disappointed.

Neighborhood favorite. All tasty menu items and attentive customer service. Cinnamon roll French toast combo is a hot item. Unfortunately, the stuffed French Toast which was awesome and under appreciated is now off the menu. Great local feel!

If you're looking for a true breakfast spot, look no further! Time after time, a meal at Cappy's doesn't disappoint.
They have the best breakfast food, great portion sizes and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the California omelette or a skillet.
The only downside is the long wait. On the weekends the line to get a table is usually out the door from 10-12. But people wait for a reason, it's worth it!

I have been to Cappys multiple times and I swear every time it gets better!! I usually order breakfast and stick to the California omelette but this past time I felt like having lunch and ordered the French Dip. It was phenomenal. Who knew Cappys lunch was as good as its breakfast?! I will continue to come back regularly and now it's going to be difficult deciding between breakfast or lunch!

Everything on the menu is great. Very popular for breakfast however the lunch menu shouldn't be overlooked.
Expect a wait on the weekends. I would recommend making a reservation online for parties over 4.
My second favorite breakfast place in Newport.

We love Cappys!! They have the best food, I am so glad that they have additional seating in the back now because the wait used to be so long but it was so worth it. But now really no wait at all, and a parking attendant to help people know where to park!

This is my favorite spot to get breakfast in Newport Beach! I ordered the Chilaquiles and a Bloody Mary - they were both incredible! Service is always fast and accurate. I appreciate the attentive and polite wait staff and will make sure I stop by every time I'm in town!

I have been driving by this adorable place for years and finally decided to give their breakfast/brunch a try on Mothers Day. They have amazing Bloody Marys and my son and I both had the eggs benedict which were awesome! The owners seated us and brought our drinks which was a nice thing to see them working with their staff on a busy day. If you're looking for a place that serves breakfast late every day this is your place but they also have lunch. I will definitely return!

Booked reservations for 10 people via the Yelp app. It was easy and simple, it was for anotherrrrr bday breakfast for my girlfriend! I called and they accommodated one more person at the table. I picked this place because it was near our Duffy reservation.
I saw all the hype for the Country fried steak with gravy ($16) and it hit the spot! One of the best Country fried steaks I have had. My buddy also loved it as well. The parking lot is hectic and small so be aware that you may have to find parking elsewhere. They also add a gratuity fee to the check so be mindful of that!!!

I would recommend the Nova Lox burrito! Absolutely delish! Plus the atmosphere and staff are awesome! Gabby was our server on Easter Sunday and despite them being slammed we were properly accomodated. I'll def be coming back!

OMG guess who has a classic Monte Cristo? Yes Cappys!! I thoroughly enjoyed it with sour cream and raspberry jam. And don't forget the onion rings, nom nom . Very lively and polite staff. New decor and mural paintings on the inside. Just a great lunch!!

Great service, fast and delicious food, and perfect beach ambiance!
Enjoyed a Saturday morning brunch at Cappy's and ordered the seafood omelet with crab. The omelet comes with a healthy serving of crab, onions, green peppers, cheese, and then topped with pico de gallo.
The service is perfect, and there's outdoor dining with dogs allowed.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is always great, if you ask for extra crispy hash browns or any other mods they do it and do it right (Not the case for most joints). The environment is fun and upbeat along with the staff. Nothing but good things to say! Get the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and go bottomless with the mimosas! Cheers!

Came here upon a recommendation from a coworker. I have seen this place in past visits to Newport, but had never checked it out. The wait staff was very attentive, courteous. The food was terrific! I ordered the blueberry pancakes, they were delicious. Probably some of the best pancakes if had in a long while.

I have made Cappys a little Sunday tradition with my small growing family. I actually went into labor after eating at Cappys. Now it's a cute story and pretty awesome having my newborn have brunch with us and creating memories and laughter while sharing amazing food.
You honestly can't go wrong with anything on this menu! From their sandwiches.. o their cinnamon swirl French toast!! South of the border menus are on point! Their melts! You get where I am going! They have everything to satisfy your craving!

I tried a few more dishes...
The chicken and waffles unfortunately used premade chicken strips that I didn't care for.
The prime rib melt used quality thin sliced meat that was free of any sinue. The fries would have been better if requested to be cooked well done.
The patty melt cooked Medium was nice and juicy. The onion rings were hand battered and great.
